Internet Ethics WebQuest - Introduction

Ethics are an important aspect of the internet that is often overlooked in the classroom.  The ease with which people are able to copy and paste things found on the internet and use for their own purposes have made the ethical considerations of copyrights and property rights easy to overlook.  The impersonal nature of online interactions allow us to slip into complacent inconsideration of other people's time and sensibility.  Educators have a responsibility to point out to their students that their cyberspace interactions have consequences for others an themselves beyond the computer screen that they are looking at the time.

This WebQuest will explore the considerations that one should take whe working in cyberspace.  Computer ethics, internet etiquette, and copyright issues are the three topics that we will explore in the next few hours.  To begin the Internet Ethics WebQuest click on the Introduction link on the right.
